The Beaumont Boot

Thursday, 31 December 2015

This winter I decided I had to get myself a pair of Chelsea Boots. They've been on trend for a few years now and I just haven't found the right pair or got round to buying any. Then at the end of November I went into Topshop whilst I was in Cardiff and found these beauties:
The Beaumont Boot.

The thing that has taken me so long to find the perfect pair is that most heeled Chelsea Boots have quite a tall heel, which I don't want as I'm fairly tall already and it'd make them uncomfortable to wear for long periods. The heel on these boots however is only about two inches. I've worn them for long periods of time, in the rain, on a night out and on a day to day basis pretty much for the last month and they are still in a perfect condition!

The actual boot is made of suede so I did worry about the whole living in England wear it rains pretty much every day but at the moment they are holding out on me. The only feeling I've had is cold feet but not damp! Also the platform heel adds to the comfiness as your foot is at less of an angle in the boot.

So far these are the best boots I've actually ever bought so I'd love to know what you think if you have them yourself or any other suggestions for good winter boots?

Christmas Day Make Up and OOTD

Sunday, 27 December 2015

Hello my lovelies!

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and got everything they wished for! I had my relaxed and small Christmas with just my Grandma and the rest of my family as usual. It was a very lazy day as I went out on Christmas eve and my brother was working so we didn't have lunch until about four! But this post is my outfit and make up from the day!

Winter Coats

Sunday, 13 December 2015

Coats are the most important thing in a girl's Autumn/Winter wardrobe. The only problem is that they are often fairly expensive and for someone like me who is saving to go travelling I can't afford to spend fifty quid or so each time. That's why for the last few years I've been looking in Primark for my winter coats!

Homeware Haul | Homesense & Ikea

Sunday, 6 December 2015

If you didn't know, I'm a girl who likes themes and organisation.
So with my 'big' move to university in September I have started collecting bits and bobs for my room, my theme: Boho Moroccan.
It may seem a bit early to you but I'm travelling for six month and won't have much time when I get back! I also want to pick up some gorgeous fabrics in the Thai markets.

Music Monday #8

Monday, 23 November 2015

Hi there!
After going to see Imagine Dragons live the other week I've really been getting back into my music and their new album so I thought I'd do another one of these posts. Let me know in the comments any suggestions you have!

1) Roots by Imagine Dragons

This is my favourite song off of their new album Smoke + Mirrors and it was just incredible live. If you want a little snippet check out my insta in the sidebar!

I Cut My Hair For The Little Princess Trust

Sunday, 8 November 2015

Hello lovelies!
So last Friday I made a big change to my hair, I cut about 10 inches off for the Little Princess Trust!
The Little Princess Trust is an amazing charity that provide wigs for children with cancer who have lost their hair through treatment as well as children who have alopecia. They work with specialist suppliers and experienced hairdressers who offer wigs tailored to each individual child's needs to give them the most realistic look and feel to their original hair.

Marc Jacobs Violet Perfume

Thursday, 5 November 2015

I was never all that big on perfume when I was younger as it was normally way too expensive. However, more recently I have become obsessed with finding new scents every time I go through duty free at an airport or visit a department store.

Bumbling Around Budapest

Sunday, 18 October 2015

This is my photo diary for my recent trip to Budapest! I love visiting European cities as, so far, they all have had amazing architecture and such a rich culture. Sometimes I think I might take London for granted being so close. Budapest was covered in grand structures and monuments and statues, something that I don't notice in London anymore. It also had a lot of history around World War 2 which I found fascinating.

The Bristol Vintage Kilo Sale

Thursday, 15 October 2015

I went to my first Vintage kilo sale! If you don't know what one of those is, it's where you go to an event space (like the Paintworks in Bristol) that is filled with racks and bins full of vintage clothing and you root through it and buy what you want per kilo rather than per item!

September Favourites | 2015

Sunday, 11 October 2015

September came and went so quickly that it barely felt like it happened. This is the first year since I was three that I haven't gone back to school so that was a bit weird. Autumn is my favourite season and October is my favourite month because it means the Halloween is just around the corner!

A Weekend in Cardiff

Wednesday, 7 October 2015

This coming Sunday (11th) is my two year anniversary with my boyfriend and, as I am away then, I went and visited him at Uni last weekend.
Also with the Rugby World Cup on at the moment it meant that Cardiff and the train station were so busy! But I didn't mind as I was part of the crowd for the rugby with tickets for New Zealand vs Georgia!

Film Review | Me and Earl and the Dying Girl *****

Thursday, 24 September 2015

This has to be the best film I've seen in some time.
It's poised on the ledge between a comedy and a tragedy and yet, is still amazing. You see this film is not a love story just a life story and that in itself is invigorating. I can't remember the last time I laughed so much at a film about a dying girl - but trust me there's reason to.

August Favourites | 2015

Sunday, 13 September 2015

How are we in September already? It barely feels like the year has started! With the new month rolling around, this is my August favourites!

My Trip to Dismaland

Thursday, 10 September 2015

Last night I ventured down the road from where I live to visit Banky's Dismaland. I have to say it was a weird experience. You enter into a fake security system where the staff are totally serious about no smiling, and stop random people before letting everyone through into the rest of the exhibition.

Music Monday #7

Monday, 31 August 2015

Hello my lovelies!

Just a quick post today on my latest music favourites! Yes it's fairly mainstream this month but with the release of Taylor Swift's new music videos at the VMAs last night I had to include it! Even though I didn't watch the VMAs it seems several interesting events occurred, what with Nicki Minaj seeming to make up with Taylor by inviting her on stage to perform (which I loved) and then throwing 'shade' at Miley during her acceptance speech so it seems it's all still catfights over in the music industry.

1) Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift

I am absolutely in love with Taylor's new music video, her outfits in it are flawless! Scott Eastwood isn't too bad either.

2) Mike Dignam - Keep Up Lady

This one is a bit of an oldy. I first saw Mike when he supported Lawson on tour a few years back and I recently found the album again; this is my favourite song off of it!

3) We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off by Ella Eyre

So I discovered this on a video on Facebook of two people dancing to this song and I loved it so much I had to find it and now it's been on repeat for the last few weeks!

4) Come and Get it by John Newman

Another one on repeat!

5) Heartbeats by José González

This song came up on a TV show or a film (I can't remember what) but I shazamed it which I have discovered is so helpful! And now it has been added to my all important chill playlist on my phone!

What are your favourite songs this month?

Parisian Lookbook

Sunday, 16 August 2015

Hello Lovelies!

This is my Paris lookbook but I've done it a bit more informal than most other fashion bloggers! As I went in August the weather was so beautiful which meant that I got to finally wear my summer clothes, so there's lots of florals and bright colours!

Exploring Paris!

Thursday, 13 August 2015

Hello lovelies!

As promised, this is the first of my Paris blogs so I thought I'd do a little photo diary of my trip!

~ A Little Life Update ~

Sunday, 9 August 2015

Hello lovelies!
So it's been a little while since I have regularly updated this blog and I feel like I need to write it all out. Throughout June and July my life became extremely busy due to my final A Level exams as well as my hours at work increasing and starting driving lessons. Obviously, exams were going to be a stress and for anyone else who's ever taken them then you know that; I just felt a great pressure on me for psychology in particular as I struggled with it and needed it to get into university. Also I've found that because of my increase in hours and other things I am becoming tired so easily which means that I have lacked the energy and motivation in order to maintain this blog.
Another issue has been that I have had a bit of a block in what to write about. Now though I am back with a fresh mind and a new motivation! This is mainly thanks to spending a few days in Paris so you can look forward to those blogs appearing over the next week or so!
Furthermore, this Thursday I get my results back so I will finally know whether I can go to university next year - yes I am having a gap year! And to top it off I've sent off my application for Camp America so I can finally start planning my travels!
So if anyone has any advice for me on university or taking a gap year I'd love to hear it!

P.S My mum bought the Buddha head for the garden and I think it's pretty funky

Summer Ball Make Up | 2015

Tuesday, 23 June 2015

I have finished school. I can't quite believe it!

But to top of two amazing years in Sixth Form we have a Summer Ball tonight and I thought I'd do a quick little post on the make up I shall be wearing before the full 'get ready with me' one that I have planned.

Trend Report: Khaki

Monday, 8 June 2015

This summer I am loving the Khaki/Military fashion trend! So I thought I would make a collection of my favourite items from high street stores!

Major Summer Haul 2015

Sunday, 31 May 2015

I recently had a clear out of my wardrobe and realised that I had hardly any summer clothes that I still liked, so I had a bit of a shopping spree! This was accumulated over a month or so for my upcoming holidays.
This season I am mostly into crotchet and floaty vests which you will soon discover...

First Impressions | Davina McCall Dumbbell Set

Thursday, 21 May 2015

Summer is nearly upon us and there's the select few, including myself, that have left a little late to get our perfect beach bod so I decided to invest in some dumbbells to tone my arms and back.
So I got these Davina McCall Dumbbells from Argos from £12.99!
This post is about my initial impressions!

i turned eighteen!

Thursday, 14 May 2015

I am finally an adult. omg.
My actual birthday was at the end of April but because there are so many consecutive birthdays at my school I actually went to another guy's Hawaiian themed party!
So this post is kinda a mini birthday haul...

April Favourites! | 2015

Sunday, 10 May 2015

Hi there!

So this month has been VERY busy for me (hence the lack of posts, sorry!) I went skiing at the beginning of the month, my brother left to travel Asia, I've been hit with revision stress because exams start soon! AND I had my 18th birthday at the end of the month, so it's been fun!

Review | Rimmel London Wonder'full Mascara

Thursday, 30 April 2015

The first thing that attracted me to this product was the packaging, I mean rose gold come on!
And the fact that a friend from work recommended it as my previous mascara used to print on my eyelids...

This product promises longer, clump free lashes so lets see!

Have a Lush Easter!

Sunday, 5 April 2015

A couple of weeks ago I was shopping with my mum at Cribbs Causeway and I wondered into the Lush store just to have a little nosey at the new Easter selection. And I may have bought a few things on a bit of a whim!

Big thanks to Freyja for being so lovely and helping me choose!

Review | COLAB Dry Shampoo

Sunday, 15 March 2015

Dry shampoo is an important product for me, especially before work as I start early on a Saturday morning and I don't have time to shower and everything before hand. Also, as I have quite light blonde hair as soon as it gets at all greasy I think it's really obvious so dry shampoo is the holy grail for me!

Music Monday #6

Monday, 9 March 2015

Hi there!

So it's the time of year again when I have to start revising for exams and I definitely need good music to get me through it!

It's strange to think that this will be the last set of exams I'll ever have to take as I'm taking a gap year and then my course at Uni doesn't have any exams!

1) Sinner by Jeremy Loops

This man I found through Ben Brown on YouTube but I am so in awe with his music, it's so unique with all the harmonica!

February Favourites 2015!

Sunday, 1 March 2015

Hi guys!

How is it that we're already in March?! I mean what is going on? This year is flying by!
As it's the new month I am going to do my February Favourites!

War Horse at The New London Theatre

Monday, 23 February 2015

I can't believe it's been nearly a month since me and my mum took a trip to London for the day to see
War Horse!
This was the first production that I have seen in a while that was not labelled as a musical, and it didn't have any massive dance numbers but there was still singing, which helped to tell the story.

I am so amazed that after eight years of running on the West End almost every show is sold out!

the incomparable fashion of the Golden Globes

Thursday, 15 January 2015

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few days, you would have seen all the usual hysteria that surrounds any major awards show...
this time it was the 72nd Golden Globes!
There have been so many pictures all over various magazines and papers and of course the internet that I've decided to do a round up of all my favourite fashions from the night.

XOXO Santa Claus

Thursday, 8 January 2015

This may be a little late but hey! better late than never!
This is what I got for Christmas!
